Soy Wax Candle Burning Guide: First Burn & Care Tips
🕯️✨ Soy Wax Candle Burning Guide: First Burn & Care Tips ✨🕯️
Welcome to the magical world of soy candles! 🌿 Here’s everything you need to know for the best burn experience and how to care for your natural soy candle. Let’s light it up right! 🔥
🕯️ First Burn Magic
Candles have memories — so your first burn is super important! When you light your candle for the first time, let it burn until the wax melts all the way to the edge of the jar. This full melt pool prevents tunneling and ensures a clean, even burn every time. 🌕🔥
Important:
❌ Don’t trim the wick before the first burn — our natural wicks are self-trimming!
After your first burn, if you notice any build-up at the wick tip, feel free to trim it a little for a smooth flame. ✂️✨
🕯️ About Our Wicks
We only use all-natural fiber wicks that trim themselves as they burn. Sometimes, you might see a little black “mushroom” shape on the wick tip — this is unburned carbon. Once the candle cools, you can gently trim it off for an even burn next time. 🍄🖤
🌿 Natural Imperfections — What to Expect
Our soy candles are 100% natural, so a few quirks are normal and don’t affect your candle’s magic or scent! 🌟
-
Frosting: Tiny wax crystals may form on the surface — just a pretty natural effect, no worries! ❄️
-
Bumpy Surface: After burning, the wax may solidify unevenly, creating a bumpy top. This is soy wax’s signature look! 🪵
-
Mushroom Wick Tip: Carbon buildup — trim gently after cooling. 🍄
-
Yellowing: Sunlight or fluorescent light can cause some yellow tint. No chemicals here, just pure soy! ☀️
-
Shadows: Wax may pull away from the jar sides slightly, creating shadows — totally normal. 🌒
